As Christmas approaches, I thought it appropriate to upload an illustration of a hot summer’s day.
I did this one for a book called Peigín Leitir Móir published by Futa Fata. Loads of other Cartoon Salooners also contributed to the book. There’s supposed to be text on the illustration but I can’t find the file!

Cúilín Dualach, 12 minute short animated film, completed in 2004.

Based on a short story by Jackie Mac Donacha, produced by Cartoon Saloon and Léirithe Sónta.

The short was awarded the following:

Best Animation for Children, Animadrid, 2005

Best Animation,Celtic Film Festival, 2005

From Darkness

From Darkness, a short based on the Inuit tale of The Skeleton Woman, completed 2002 in the Cartoon Saloon.

The entire short film is embedded above. It might not be suitable for younger viewers.

As well as screening at many international film festivals, From Darkness has been awarded:
